PROFILE

Tetsuya Saito is the main designer of Lochi Architects Studio based in Tokyo. He has been involved in projects ranging from furniture design to architecture and historic preservation. He envisions people’s perception of the atmosphere and space from every angle to create a scenic view designed by using a personalized view of objects, natural light and nature. He also provides consultations on designs plethora of other projects. His furniture design won 1st prize in the international furniture competition.

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Tokyo, Japan.
Graduated from course of Art and Architecture, University of Tsukuba, Japan
Studied as an Italian Goverment Scholarship Student of Politecnico di Milano in Italy
Started Architectural design studio: Studio Lochi
Worked as a Research Fellow for Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan
Worked as a Visiting Scholar for Columbia University in New York City, USA
Received Ph.D., Architecture and Building Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan
Teaching at Dep. of Architecture and Building Eng.,Meisei University, Tokyo, Japan
